I recently posted about TheLunchbox.org, a new project by Chef Ann Cooper, a.k.a. the “Renegade Lunch Lady,” in partnership with the Chez Panisse Foundation, Children’s Health Foundation, Whole Foods and others. The site is an amazing resource of recipes, tools, budgets, policy guides and other practical tools that help parents, administrators and communities transform their school lunch programs.

Whole Foods has been particularly active in supporting Chef Ann (you may have seen the “Join the School Lunch Revolution” signs around their stores), and now they are running a contest that’s your chance to bring Chef Ann to your school or district for your very own action plan to improve your lunch program!!

Just create and post a 1 minute video to YouTube showing why your school is in need of a School Lunch Makeover, and submit the link to: schoollunchmakeover@wholefoods.com. Contest submissions must be received by October 8th, so get busy!

There’s more!! Leave a comment here with a link to your video and your email address and, on October 8th, I’ll randomly select one of you to win a $50 Whole Foods Gift card.

You can learn more about Chef Ann and the video contest here.
